Jennifer has been a HOSA local chapter advisor since 2018 and the CT HOSA State Advisor since September 2025.
She is the former Newington Teacher of the Year for 2018-2019, and one of four finalists for Connecticut Teacher of the Year in 2019.
Jennifer graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine with a minor in Biology.
She continued her education at Quinnipiac and received a Master’s of Arts in Teaching, Secondary Science, and later a 6th-year degree in
Educational Leadership and Administration to earn a 092 certification.
Jennifer is the teacher and program leader in the Medical Sciences Academy at Newington High School.
She became an EMT in 2019 and soon after became an EMS Instructor. She has been teaching an EMT training course at
Newington High School for her seniors. Jennifer volunteers for Newington Emergency Medical Services, and her students do
their observation hours with her on her Friday night shifts.
Jennifer is passionate about HOSA and continuing to engage the
future healthcare professionals. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family,
going to local coffee shops, and listening to live music.
