Samantha’s HOSA journey began when she was an incoming freshman at Hall High School in West Hartford, Connecticut. Eager to learn more about the healthcare field, she immediately found a strong sense of community within her school’s HOSA chapter. For Samantha, HOSA became more than just a club—it was a gateway to her future, a place where she could challenge herself, build meaningful connections, and discover her passion for medicine.
Over the years, Samantha has grown into a dedicated leader and now serves as Vice President of her school’s chapter. In this role, she has worked to foster a welcoming, engaging environment for all members, especially those just behind their own healthcare journeys. Whether she is helping new members or working with her officer team to bring new ideas to life, Samantha strives to make HOSA a space where everyone feels supported and inspired. Through her experiences in HOSA and beyond, Samantha has developed a strong passion for patient care and hands-on medical work. As a volunteer EMT, she has gained firsthand exposure to patient interactions and emergency response, deepening her appreciation for the fast-paced, collaborative nature of healthcare. These experiences have strengthened her desire to pursue a career where she can make a direct, meaningful impact on others.
Looking ahead, Samantha is especially excited to take on the role of Social Media and Outreach Manager. She looks forward to using creativity and communication to highlight her chapter’s accomplishments, promote events, and strengthen connections within the school and broader community. She hopes to make HOSA’s presence more visible and accessible, helping more students discover the same sense of belonging and purpose that she found as a freshman.
In the future, Samantha hopes to attend college as a biochemistry major on the pre-med track. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge, exploring new areas of science, and continuing to develop the skills she will need as a future healthcare professional. In the long term, she hopes to further her interest in emergency medicine and medical research, combining her love for hands-on care with her curiosity about the science that drives medical innovation. Outside of academics and healthcare, Samantha enjoys crocheting, painting, and spending time with friends.
