Maya Demkowicz

CT HOSA Vice President of Development

For Maya, HOSA wasn’t just an organization — it was the spark that turned curiosity into purpose. When she first joined as a freshman, Maya was searching for more than just a club; she was looking for a space where passion met possibility. What she found was a community of driven, compassionate leaders who believed in something bigger than themselves. Surrounded by future healthcare professionals and change-makers, Maya realized she wanted to be part of that energy — not just to witness it, but to help build it.

Now a junior at Farmington High School and serving as the Vice President of Development for Connecticut HOSA, Maya is passionate about creating
opportunities for members to connect, grow, and discover what lights them up. She believes leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about people. In this role, she’s excited to help chapters strengthen their voice, cultivate their unique identity, and realize the impact they can have both within and beyond HOSA.

When she’s not immersed in healthcare projects or HOSA initiatives, you can find Maya rowing down a river, experimenting with code, or mentoring younger students in STEM outreach programs. She lives by the belief that leadership is less about standing in front and more about lifting others beside you — a philosophy she’s proud to bring into every space she’s part of
