Kripa Jacob

CT HOSA Vice President of Communications

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Kripa is a junior at Newington High School, and her journey with HOSA since freshman year has been nothing short of transformative. From the very beginning, Kripa knew that healthcare was the career path she wanted to pursue. Yet the more she got involved in her local chapter, the clearer her passion became. After attending the 2024 State Leadership Conference, she saw the many individuals who were passionate in healthcare just as she is and was empowered by the close knit community that HOSA fosters. With each event and leadership role, she has been inspired by the mission of HOSA to uplift future healthcare workers and provide quality healthcare to everyone.

Since then, Kripa has taken part in many clubs and responsibilities at school and in her community. She has served as a member of clubs like Student Council, DECA, Key Club, and FBLA, and currently serves as the Vice President of the Newington HOSA Chapter. Outside of school, she’s deeply involved in her church as a Grade 1 Sunday School teacher and a teen volunteer at the Hospital of Central Connecticut.

As she steps into her role as a HOSA State Officer, Kripa is excited to help others discover their own passion for healthcare just as she did through HOSA.
